What we do
Water in the desert reads different. Done well, a feature sets the entire tone of a backyard — the sound alone drops your blood pressure ten points before you sit down. Done badly, it's a maintenance disaster with algae blooms, mineral scale, and a pump that fails in July.
What we build
- Boulder waterfalls keyed into pool decks or standalone berms. Real stone, real placement — we hand-set every rock so it looks like it grew there.
- Koi ponds with proper biological filtration, bottom drains, and UV clarifiers sized for Phoenix summer bio-load. The ponds we build in 2010 are still crystal.
- Spillover basins and sheer-wall spillovers — clean, architectural water for modern homes. Corten steel, poured concrete, cast stone.
- Slate column fountains and pot-in-basin bubblers for entry courtyards.
Why in-house
Every feature is built by our crew, not subbed out. That matters because a water feature is 80% plumbing you never see and 20% stone you do. We know both because we run both. When the pump dies in five years — because pumps die — you call us and we replace it same-week. Not a warranty runaround.
Pairing with landscape
The features that read best sit inside a plant palette that softens the hardscape. We coordinate with our landscape design side so the feature you build isn't stranded on a bare pad in year two.
Serving Phoenix, Arcadia, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, and North Phoenix.
Water Features — questions we get.
Simple pot-in-basin bubblers start around $2,500 installed. Boulder waterfalls and koi ponds run $8,000–35,000+ depending on scale, stone, and filtration.
A well-designed feature is quarterly maintenance — pump check, filter clean, water top-off. Koi ponds need weekly filter service in summer bio-load.
Not if it's built right. We size UV clarifiers, biological filtration, and circulation for our peak summer load — not for a Portland climate.
Yes. Spillover walls, cascading rock waterfalls into pools, and integrated spa spillovers are common. Coordinate early — pool plaster color matters.
